Stock Class Racing Scooters
Stock class motorscooters have little or nothing changed from stock, in terms of performance. They can be rusty, or dented, or painted wild colors, but they must not have performance enhancements.

This is an example of a Stock Class racing scooter. Minimal preparation is required to prepare a street-legal scooter for racing. Notice the taped headlight.

The owner and rider is Matt Devries, of the Husker Du Racing Team, based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.

Here you can see the preparations made to race this street-legal classic Vespa. A skid plate is placed on the engine case, the kick-start pedal and centerstand have been removed, and lamps are removed or taped over.

Not visible are the Nyloc nuts and safety wiring of fasteners. It wasn't necessary to remove the glovebox, though. I wonder if Matt had his lunch in there.
