The mission of this web site is simple: to promote the sport of motorscooter racing by providing a central information repository.
Presently there are numerous sources of information about motorscooter racing, but they are not all easy to access. Some are scattered over the web , and some are printed in periodicals, but the most valuable and largest caches of information are residing in the heads of people already involved in the sport. This site is not intended to replace any of these sources, but to make access and sharing of information easier, and to preserve the legacy of experience and wisdom.
By founding WhizWheels, I am hoping that knowledgeable sources will contribute information that may be useful to myself and others in our efforts to promote scooter racing in our respective areas.
I don't think anyone would argue against the idea that increased participation in motorscooter racing will benefit the sport and the racers. More participants means the possibility of more races, at more venues, in more classes, and with more exposure.
Therefore, the main goal of this site must be to help increase participation in motorscooter racing.
Toward that end, this site will endeavor to make necessary information readily accessible to racers and potential racers.
Information about existing organizations, race tracks suitable for scooter use, requirements for scooters and racers, safety issues, and contact information for all of these will be gathered and made available here.
This site is for anyone interested in motorscooter racing, whether as a racer, an official, a spectator, a track owner, or a sponsor.
In short, this site is for all of us!

I'm very seriously requesting help from others. I do not pretend to know everything, or even a lot, about scooter racing. I can't write with authority about all of the relevant topics. However, I can do these things: I can research this subject, I can solicite information from others, I can organize what I learn, and I can share this information with you via this website.
What can you do? I'm glad you asked. You can share what you know with me, so I can share it with others.
Any comments, questions, or submissions should be emailed to me at this address: chris@whizwheels.com. Submissions may include links to scooter racing related sites, informational pieces, or original articles. Articles can be about anything relating to scooter racing, the machines, the riders, the tracks, the organizations, tips and techniques, anything.
No unduly obscene language will be published here. Hopefully, the next generation of scooterists will visit this site, and I want to make it kid-friendly by not triggering their software.
I reserve the right to edit submissions (for spelling, content, or formatting) or reject them. Submissions become the property of this website, but I will give full credit to the author(s). If I edit the content extensively, I will email it back to the author(s) for approval before publishing under their name.
In the interest of maintaining a slim, fast site, photos and logos must be limited in both number and size.
And please keep in mind that WhizWheels is about scooter racing. Keep all submissions focused on scooter racing.
